Media Kit

Secular Left is a podcast that focuses on social justice issues, our political relationship to religion, Christian Nationalism specifically, and supports the separation of church and state.

Secular Left is for people who think religion is too cozy with our government and is included much too much in public policy decisions. Listeners of the show will also be interested in social justice issues and solving the existential threats of our times using science and data to come to rational tentative conclusions.

Each episode is recorded and produced in Toledo, Ohio and is either a monologue by the host about a topic or two or an interview, done remotely, of someone who is known in the secular community, doing work secular people can support, or an expert on a topic of interest to secular people

Host Doug Berger brings over twenty years involvement in the freethought movement to each episode. He started Secular Left in 2005 as a blog and transitioned it to a podcast in 2020.
