CNN tries to make amends to atheists

Posted on by

Tonight, 2/12, the Paula Zahn Now show finally offered up their response to the thousands of complaints from atheists about the bigotry expressed on the 1/31 show.

It didn’t look like it would be a good show as Paula Zahn conveniently had the night off. John Roberts filled in for her and I thought he did the job she should have done on January 31 – challenge some of the comments from the panel.

The panel tonight included an actual atheist from the US, Ellen Johnson, president of American Atheist. The other members were Rachel Maddow of Air America and Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson, a conservative minister who once referred to blacks stranded in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina as “welfare-pampered,” “lazy” and “immoral.”

Peterson showed his stripes when he was asked about atheists and he called them “hypocrites”.

I will have a review later this week once a transcript is available so I can quote from it etc…

I actually did not get to see this live ,but have watched it on You tube . The level of hatred shown by these air personality's was reminiscent of some thing one might have expected from Sean Hannity of Fox News. And what the hell is up with the black panel members you would have guessed they thought Atheist were behind Jim Crow ,or the Slave trade the way they acted was horrible at best ! CNN ? at this point I thought it was Al-gezira . Meet me at Camera 2 CNN Listen you can't out crazy Fox News they have been doing this a long time .
