I had to read Doug Giles’ blog post “How to Shut Up an Atheist if You Must”, and felt compelled to read it. Being a non-believer I needed to see what if anything the author wrote would actually shut me up. I can rest easy as nothing he commented is new nor will it shut atheists up.

On the October 5th edition of “Bill Moyers Journal” had a story about the group Christians United for Israel (CUFI) that is lead by televangelist Pastor John Hagee. In a recent seminar in Washington DC Hagee advocated a pre-emptive strike against Iran. The Journal story showed that the confluence of Christian Zionism and a President who never passed up an opportunity to advance religious based foreign policy is a danger not only to the world but to the Jews.

Conservative Internet news site WorldNetDaily posted a story yesterday about some teachers in Albemarle School District in Virginia, who are refusing orders from the administration to pass out adverts for the children’s summer camp called Camp Quest. The camp is the first summer camp that caters to atheists, humanists, and freethinkers. This isn’t the first time the school district has been in trouble for their lack of equal access. A flyer for a Unitarian Universalist holiday program was not passed out. A lawsuit was filed and the school district lost.

I mentioned in the previous post about the comments turd Dennis Prager said about an incoming Congressman wanting to use the Quran at his swearing-in photo op. Well it seems that Prager is now trying to disassociate himself from his own bonehead comments. But he still comes out being a turd – an uninformed turd.

Dennis Prager is a turd. Saying something without even doing some basic fact checking just to “fire up” the homeys shows he has shit for brains. And as he wanted, he shines a spot light on himself, and consequently turns the light on religious and political conservatives who are hypocrites when it comes to their support for religious liberty. His comments also cause an issue where no issue existed – much like Bill O’Reilly’s crusade for Christmas.
